apt update fails

I have installed apt 0.5.5cnc6-fr0.rh80.1.i386 and synaptic on my redhat 8.

But the update does not perform and give error :
"Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead."

I have checked the internet connection . It is fine.

I have following repositories in my /etc/apt/sources.list

rpm http://ayo.freshrpms.net/ redhat/8.0/i386 os updates freshrpms
rpm http://apt.freshrpms.net/ redhat/8.0/en/i386 os updates freshrpms
rpm http://apt.au.freshrpms.net/ redhat/8.0/en/i386 os updates freshrpms
rpm http://ftp-stud.fht-esslingen.de/apt/ redhat/8.0/en/i386 os stable freshrpms updates

I can connect to above sites thru browser and see the rpms there.

Pls. tell me whts wrong with apt on my machine

Then later I removed all the repositories but apt.freshrpms.net.

It gives me a following error
"[root@localhost root]# apt-get update

W: Release files for some repositories could not be retrieved or authenticated. Such repositories are being ignored.
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
