apt-mirror client looking for wrong format

I have a apt-mirror server setup in my environment, and all the clients look to it for their updates. I have one server however that regularly looks for Packages.bz2 which does not exist. When that fails, it looks for Packages.gz which works fine. All my other servers look only for Packages.gz. I don't know what configuration is causing this one server to look in bz2 format. Any ideas?

It may just be a more current version of apt-get on one server. The bzip2 support was added to apt-get at the end of 2004 in version 0.5.30. Versions prior to that will only look for Packages.gz.
