apt-get question

hey people

i have been getting these error messages for a while now, and they don't seem to cause any problems.

debconf: unable to initialize frontend: Gnome
debconf: (Unable to load Gnome -- is libgnome-perl installed?)
debconf: falling back to frontend: Dialog

I get that error message just after i have downloaded a package with apt-get and it is getting ready to install it.

i assume it's just because i dont have the above apps. installed, and it dosen't cause any harm, right?

You're right, no problems will be caused by this. But you can make the messages go away by running

# dpkg-reconfigure debconf

and selecting something other than gnome.
