Wink Applying Linux Kernel patch

Hi all,

I am very new to Linux programming,So my question may be a dumb one

I am developing/porting some drivers into kernel 3.16 and creating patch for this. My Query is can I apply this patch to kernel version 3.10, whether it will work or not ? Or do i have to port these drivers into 3.10 for make it work..

drivers are wifi/bluetooth , touchscreen, display etc

Any help appreciated !
