Applications lost one after another...
I've just installed Linux about one week ago, and it really got me. But today i've lost my help-center and some other apps too. Related files are in the correct location, and shortcuts are also seem correct.
I'm using SuSE9.0,KDE. Can somebody help me to recover this? Thanks. |
How do you mean lost?
it doesn't start anymore? What error-messages do you get? Which programs are exactly missing? what happens if you launch one of the missing programs from console? |
Strange. You could try to delete the folder called .KDE at your /home/user/ directory:
rm -rf /home/ratbatblue/.KDE That would delete all your settings as well. However, next time you start KDE, a new .KDE with default setting will be auto-created. This is a little work around that I've used numerous times with older versions of Gnome, but might also help you also. Needless to say, I never did it with KDE, so good luck :) Regards! |
For example Suse help-center!
the programs don't work even from the console. I'm wondering that applications are very poor-written on Suse.don't you agree? |
