Application crashing SUSE not in RHEL

I have installed an applicaton which includes the dependencies in SUSE 11 and RHEL6.4. After sometime i am trying to upgrade the application to higher version which includes the dependencies higher versions. Without stopping the application i am installing the dependencies in both SUSE & RHEL. In SUSE my application got crashed and gone to unstable state but in RHEL it works as expected[upgraded to higher version]. Why it fails in SUSE & not in RHEL? i am having a doubt that disturbing an dependencies of a running application will lead to unstable state. If that is right why in SUSE & not in RHEL?

Since you don't tell us what this mystery application actually IS, or what dependencies it loads, how can we even speculate??? And if you mean SuSE ENTERPRISE 11, and RHEL 6.4, you are PAYING FOR SUPPORT for both of them (RIGHT????) Have you contacted either SuSE or Red Hat, and asked for assistance in analyzing the situation?

Although suse and rhel use rpm's
they ARE NOT COMPATIBLE

you can NOT mix suse rpms and redhat rpms
if you try you will FUBAR your system
