Hi Eric,
Please don't give up on me appreciate for the assistance you are offering me. I typed the command and this is what I get:

francis@francis-PC:~$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure -plow phpmyadmin
sudo: unable to resolve host francis-PC
[sudo] password for francis:
dbconfig-common: writing config to /etc/dbconfig-common/phpmyadmin.conf
Replacing config file /etc/phpmyadmin/config-db.php with new version
granting access to database phpmyadmin for phpmyadmin@localhost: already exists.
creating database phpmyadmin: already exists.
populating database via sql... done.
dbconfig-common: flushing administrative password
francis@francis-PC:~$ grep phpmyadmin /etc/apache2/apache2.conf
francis@francis-PC:~$ grep phpmyadmin /etc/apache2/apache2.conf

As you can see the phpmyadmin does not exist

Regards Francis.

Hi Francis,

No problem. Have you tried connecting to the webpage for phpmyadmin? If you cannot connect, have you tried the second solution I posted?

Kind regards,

Eric

Hi Eric,

I'm getting this when I type the command:

Francis@francis-PC:~$ sudo ln -s /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf /etc/apache2/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf
sudo: unable to resolve host francis-PC
ln: failed to create symbolic link `/etc/apache2/conf.d/phpmyadmin.conf': File exists
francis@francis-PC:~$

Hi,

OK, so the file exists. Did you try to connect? And most importantly, did you try to restart/reload apache?

Kind regards,

Eric
