AODV installation in Linux

I want to install AODV adhoc network protocol on linux please tell me that what version of linux (fedora,mandriva,red-hat,ubuntu etc) will be best and how to install it??please if any body know help me I have project on it...

i am using Linux red hat, fedora 8.
which one version you are using and what about your project progress now?
