Any subdomain resolves to the main page of the site.

I can enter anything as a subdomain of a domain.com and it will show in a browser and display the main page of the site. Normally it would cause an error, and nothing would display.

So I can do

randomtext.domain.com
anyothertext.domain.com

and all this will work and display domain.com.

How is this working, and how would I change it to the default, correct state?

Thanks.

In your dns, you have an entry with *. This is not incorrect, it all depends what you want.
