any scope of gaming in linux??any free software that may help??
not that i am a gaming freak but i really got interested in gaming in linux.I have heard about cedega but found that it is a paid software.is there any other way that i can run games like CS,Unreal tournament,and such things.please help.i am using ubuntu 9.04 .

I think the answer to this would likely be Wine. I would point out that Unreal Tournament 2004 has a linux client on the normal windows DVD edition, unfortantly I don't think they released a linux client version of Unreal Tournament 3 however and I don't think earlier versions have linux clients either.

No,there's still no native Linux client for Ut3.
If you like fps have a look at Quake3/4 or Doom3.Or Enemy Territory:Quake Wars. All have a native Linux client available. Or perhaps Openarena: http://www.openarena.ws/ Also there's Prey.This also has a Linux client: http://icculus.org/prey/ A few ideas for you.... |
