any proxy software for ubuntu 9.10?
 
im running ubuntu 9.10 via live boot on my computer.
i used the method described by penddrive linux.

is there any proxy software for linux?
like programs USED on the computer not on websites

Not sure I understand. Are you looking for a proxy server? Try sudo apt-get install squid
