I put learn python into google.co.uk/linux
and this was the first link: http://www.freenetpages.co.uk/hp/alan.gauld/
It looks like quite a good place to start.

I suggest checking HRP (hackerpublicradio.org) and do a search on python, lots of good tutorials there. Xoke does a good job in teaching python (http://hackerpublicradio.org/eps.php?id=0282) give it a listen.
