Any good burning software
 

Hello is there any burning software that can write at 8x speed i tried k3b and brasero but minimum is 16x...
also is there a command to like burn iso's to cd-roms

help'll be appreciated

Replace /dev/hdd with your own burning drive.

I have no problem burning at 2x with gnomebaker. Haven't used k3b in a while, but it would burn at 2x or 4x just fine for me.

By default, k3b locks out speeds that it thinks your disks or drive do not declare as available. As far as I can tell, sometimes the disks fail to report the speeds correctly, so you have to be a bit careful. I think gnomebaker does the same.

Correct. I can confirm some CDs and DVDs get reported for a higher speed than mentioned on the medium itself. In some cases this goes wrong. In my case, I use K3B (3.5 branch, KDE 3 Trinity desktop) and I still can select other speeds from 1-maximum manually, if the media provide the wrong specs.
