another itunes post.... question about daap client
I was wondering if there was a client for linux (FC3 is my distro) that can acess a daap server. I have 2 linux computers, one of them is set up as an iTunes server, and the other is my laptop, which I would like to be able to connect to my Desktop for music. I am doing this for myself and my housemates, unfortuantley I dont know if there is a way I can play these songs from Linux. It works under Win iTunes... Thanks yall

wait a bit man. I have heard rumours that itunes does not work in linux. Doesn't itunes use a different song format? (not mp3)

Yea maybe I was being hastey... the thing with the song format is that when you rip songs from I tunes it adds on soe tags, that need to be converted, a program called Hymn does that I think.
All I am looking for is a program that ca access the shared music from other iTunes users. I have one of my linux computers broadcasting my shared music, and my freiends in Windows can listen, and I was looking for some way to do it in Linux. Thanks, and sorry about the patiance thing, I am just a bit frustrated. Thanks again. Sleepingfingers |
umm.. google the format that itunes uses for the song, or work it out yourself... then you can try and find a player for that.
