Red face Another Dual Boot Question

Okay, I have a Compaq nx7010 with XP Prof. installed and have about 10GB to spare. No I want to install Centos 3.3 as a dual option on my notebook. How do I go about doing this?

The trick staarts where I woudl rather not have to re-install my XP but if possible resize the current partition. What do you clever people suggest.......I kwno I shoudl tke the book and man pages and begin reading but as may of you out there, I am new to this came and work is hectic, I knwo some friendly person out there has done it and give me some good pointers.....

Cheers and all the best for 2005, may it be a good one for all of ya!!!

I'm not sure of centos, but most distros will safely repartition for you simply by resizing... just make sure to defrag first... then, install.

I do apologise for the stupid question but does this mean I start the installation as normal, with the current OS as is and just tell Centos durign the installation to resize and install on new partition? Any more tips?
