Another 'best distro' question: running dual & The 5 things I want

Yeah, I know there are tons of these on here and I apologize if it seems I am beating a long dead horse, But I am not just asking 'what is the best distro' as a general question, I want to know what you guys recommend for my specific set of needs. Those needs are outlined as follows:

1.) I want speed - Low memory usage, gentle on the CPU, all that good stuff

2.) GUI - I want it to have a decent interface so I can click and operate the basics of the system when I can't figure out the terminal

3.) Support - Support for the distro and support for my hardware

4.) Media - I don't want to spend hours with repositories dowloading lib files just to make it so I can listen to or burn a CD.

5.) Desktop - I like Xfce and gnome. I'm not a big fan of kde (though if you like it more power to ya) just not my cup of tea.

I plan to run it with the distro I already have (I am using 16% of a 60G harddrive) so I don't want something to big in the download/install department. I only have the one harddrive.

Preferably something that has a liveCD download, But if it doesn't ... That won't hurt my feelings none.

Any insight that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.

(NOTE: I have decided I do not want to try ubuntu 11.04 at this time. I am open to all other suggestions though)

If I were in your shoes, my first stop would be Mint. :)

1. Can be achieved with any distro.
2. + 5. Can be achieved with almost any distro.
3. Support for your hardware should be there with any recent distro, especially because your hardware is a bit older.
4. That disqualifies at least Debian and Fedora, I don't know about openSuse.

I personally would recommend Mint XFCE edition or Slackware, both will deliver what you want. I would go for Slackware, but I am biased.

Thanks for the responses guys. I've been looking around and pretty much came to the same conclusion as you both recommend ... Which is Mint. I'm downloading the .ISO now, but am also thinking about zorinOS, Due to all the out-of-the-box stuff it has. (the only drawback being it will remind me of xp).

I'm going to mark this as solved because it seems that mint it my best bet, But if you guys (or others) make it in here ... Have you used or are you familiar Zorin? any drawbacks, bugs, stuff like that?
