An easy way to push and pull files

I'd like to share files on my suse 9.1 box. I would like to be able to give out a password and then have a friend be able to use a web browser to access the files. An easy way to push and pull files with friends. How should I do this? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rob

I'm not entirely sure, but I remember reading that WebDAV was designed for this purpose(?). Anybody have further information?

I know tools like http://dav.sourceforge.net/ exist, but I do now know how well they works.

Running an ftp server seems like a logical way to do it.
