amarok and wma???

Hi ,

I'm using Fedora core 2, and have just intalled amarok - looks cool - but what do i need to do to get it to recognise and play wma files????

any help would be much appreciated - thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I though the only open source player out there that can play WMVs is the VLC player. I just read recently that DVD-John got that working; this was supposed to be some kind of first.

Just ignore me, I thought you said 'WMV', not 'WMA'.

i've played wmv with xine and MPlayer .... any thoughts about the wma problem?

I cant help you with the amarok wma issue, but if you don't find anything else you can use xine or mplayer to play wma or get the xmms wma plugin.

thanks for that - yeah i was using xmms with plugin, but i've been hearing very good things about amarok, so i decided to give it a go - unfortunantely despite numerous website saying it supports wma - i seem to be having a problem wiht it. I got the rpm version 1.1 as far as i can remeber
