Unhappy Amanda failed with NFS share


Hello

I got some problem to Backup a NFS share.
All logs I can find from amanda itself is :

FAIL planner lnioxp005wuk.db.x.x /home/dev 20080916 0 [disk /home/dev, all estimate failed]
FINISH planner date 20080916 time 1680.110


Dose anyone have simillar problem before?

So, the backup is on the local machine, and the Disk List Entry is the NFS share? Is Amanda working on other local DLE's? Is the NFS share otherwise working? Is the connection stable and is file transfer performance decent?

Have you checked the detailed error logs in /tmp/amanda? There should be time stamped logs for amandad, client and server components down in that directory. If your configuration is "daily", then there will be a subdirectory daily in each of those. That could give you a clue as to what is going on.

What is your OS, and what version of Amanda are you running? Has it worked before? And just failed now?

I presume you've browsed through the wiki at zmanda, so maybe it's too elementary to pass along http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/How...ounted_via_NFS.
