Am I totally screwed?

Hello!

I think i just made a newbie mistake or I was evily hacked to death!!! Please help!

I did some changes to my account in Redhat 9.2, now, once i rebooted the box, it tells me that my account has expired and to contact the system administrator!!! WTF? I just added my account to all these different groups...

So, i think, not to worry, just login with the su password right?

Wrong!

It tells me that it is an incorrect username and password!!!

How can I get back into my box!!!

Thx!

What changes did you make to your account and how did you make them?

You say you can't login as root? That's not a good sign I'm afraid

Where'd you get RedHat 9.2, or did I miss something? I don't think 9.1 has been released yet...

Do you mean a different distro?

Try to get in through rescue mode to reset the root password:

Cool

I think when you edited your account you added an expiration date. That would cause your account to say that. *Chuckles*

Well, your sure you logged on like this right?

Username: root
Password:

And put your correct root password in right? Because you said 'su password' and I'm not sure what you mean.
