Unhappy ALSA installation in fedora7


my soundcard was not detected properly with fedora 7 (realtek alc880 model SB450)...So i decided to install ALSA drivers ...I downloaded the tarball ...I used ./configure but it gives an error that it cannot find kernel version(version.h)....in /lib/modules/(the fc xen flder)...Now I have to give the path tpo kernel source which i cannot find....can any1 please help me!!

You need to have the kernel source or at the very least the kernel-devel and kernel-headers packages installed.

It is a lot easier to fix the sound configuration issue, see this thread;
