Alsa hda-intel Sigmatel Audio
Okay, I'm using Fedora Core 5 x86_64, and I installed Alsa. I have a ICH7 southbridge chip with SigmaTel audio. I hear sound, but I have to turn the volume all the way up, and it's still whisper quiet. I need to figure out how to turn this up. I used alsamixer, and I turned the sound all the way up. However, the sound is still not loud enough to play over the sound of my system fan. I also noticed that sound only plays through my center speaker (I'm using 5.1 surround sound speakers.) and none of my other speakers. Don't know what's causing that either.
I don't know what log files or config files to display here, other than /root/scsound.log

Question is, how do I turn up the sound, and enable those other speakers though?
