Hi,
I am completely new to these forums. Over the weekend I have acquired the infamous Alcatel Speedtouch 330 USB Modem and am trying to get it working under Vector Linux ( A slackware variant). I am sorry for yet another alcatel thread but i have tried everything else.
I have had the modem working perfectly under mandrake 9.1. However, when trying to install it in Vector I have had some problems. I have succesfully installed the Benoit Papillault's linux speedtouch drivers and have followed all the instructions on the site.
I have managed to load the microcode and the modem falshes sucessfully and the modem does connect with 'pppd call adsl'. However I cannot seem to connect to any websites using mozilla. Here is the output from running 'ifconfig ppp0' MORE than 20 seconds after running 'pppd call adsl'.

My chap-Secrets, pap-Secrets, options and adsl are all set up correctly as far as I can gather. I have also created a symbolic link in /etc/ from /etc/ppp/resolve.conf
ln -s /etc/ppp/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf
I have read to do this somewhere.
I hope someone can help me. I have given as much information as I can think of. I have searched the internet many times and found nothing.
Regards,
Tom.
