AIX filesystem on Fedora?
So I've got these disk drives from an AIX box that I need to get the data off of... What kind of filesystem does AIX use and how might I be able to get them to mount in Fedora?
Any help is definitely appreciated. Thanks! |

The AIX file system is probably JFS. Linux has JFS support but I think that there is a more basic problem that blocks you from mounting the disk drives. I think that AIX is big endian and PCs are little endian: http://www.mail-archive.com/jfs-disc.../msg00800.html http://www.mail-archive.com/jfs-disc.../msg00756.html ___________________________________ Be prepared.
