Airodump-ng problems on Backtrack 5

I recently have been trying to use Airodump-ng but for some reasons it has a hard time finding networks and sometimes it will but the pwr on the networks is at 0. Now when i just try to use the gui "wicd Network Manager" it has no problem giving me the networks or displaying the pwr which is about 80-85. My wireless card is a realtek RTL8180. I just downloaded the drivers/module to try and remount it but I am not sure on how to do this either =/. In the files Install read me it says there is a ./module_load script in there but really cant find it. I got the folder fromhttp://rtl8180-sa2400.sourceforge.net/. Someone please help a poor newbie.

My own due to high bandwith consumption in the middle of the night.

I'd start with linux from scratch. I will teach you all or most of what you need to learn. Backtrack is not a good place to learn from.

Drivers are used in one of three ways. One is the driver is built into the kernel. Another is a driver is added on and the last way is to use ndiswrapper for windows drivers.
