aide and linux

I have selinux disabled on my computer. Is that the correct status when installing, configuring and using aide?

Thanks in advance.

While not without drawbacks SELinux is one of the few MAC implementations that has been "combat proven". Disabling SELinux is not recommended when your machine is attached to a (potentially untrusted or outright hostile) network and provides (publicly) accessible services.
