Agent Author?
I am a complete newbie...no programming experience whatsoever. I am a Media Specialist at a high school...we have just installed a lab using Red Hat and OpenOffice, and I'm trying to "spread the gospel" to my students and co-workers and classmates. I am taking a class at our local university that deals with technology and people with special needs. I am constantly "sharing" with them how wonderful the open source folks are---and now have a question and I'm not sure where to begin looking. Our professor has helped to develop an "Agent Author" program, one that incorporates using an "agent" to help a person "read" a website or other multimedia program. Google "agent author special education" for more info!
Currently she is only aware of this working on MS products...my classmates have challenged me to find out if open source has a similar product, if so how can I find it? And if not, what can be done to create one? Since I'm not a programmer, I don't have a clue. Where can I begin? Thanks in advance for any suggestions! |
Hi.
Slashdot has covered a similar thing for OSX. It's here: http://apple.slashdot.org/article.pl...id=185&tid=190 There's some discussion on developing Linux equivalents Dave |
