Advice needed
Hi all, Could anyone please tell me if there is any anti porn download I can use for Linux ? or if there is a content Manager on board as I cant seem to find it .
Best regards to all  |
usually you can setup your router to deny domains or websites. perhaps setup a proxy server
|
You can also try to find a blacklist of hostnames to put in your /etc/hosts file.

One of these should be able do what you want.
Dansguardian SquidGUARD SafeSquid Typically used to protect a network rather than a single machine Apparently Ubuntu Christian Edition has Dansguardian already integrated into the system.. just fyi.. |
Go with http://www1.k9webprotection.com/
I know one of the lead developers who works at Blue Coat. Very good software and their K9 Web Protection is free. Edit: Oops, sorry, forgot it's only for Windows or Mac. It's their enterprise products that mostly runs on Linux since the developer I know hacks on custom kernels for their products. |
From their download page:
K9 Web Protection will run on Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Don't think I'll switch to Micro$oft just to get web protection. Sorry. |
