Hi,

I am installing Redhat linux on my machine which has 2 harddrives, I was wondering what the best advice is for partitioning,etc... thank you

Hi royals1216

If your "1st" hard drive is connected as master to your primary IDE controller then Red Hat will recognise it as

/dev/hda

just let Red Hat AUTOMATICALLY partition the existing free space on /dev/hda

make sure Red Hat partitions and installs on /dev/hda - NOT - /dev/hdb or /dev/hdc

ie you want it on your 1st hard drive
