adsl-setup command not found?
 

I just installed slackware 10.1 on a computer, I ran Red Hat Fedora for a while on the same box, I want to set up my internet connection, but there are not any adsl commands found? adsl-setup, adsl-config, adsl-status, adsl-start, adsl-stop all give the same result; command not found.
Didi I miss something obvious? It worked wonderful with Red Hat...and everywhere I look they use adsl-setup. Hope somebody can help me out here

i have two dsl modems (one is adsl, and the other is vdsl), and i didn't set anything in the linux box,
the adsl modem itself acts like a single computer (a router), and the vdsl modem is just like passing
through the data from the internet to my proxy server.
perhaps you could use the connection without setting up anything in your linux box? it works on me.

you need to be logged in as root. did u try that? m a newbie...just started using linux 3 days ago. i can make the damn adsl thing work.

I had to use pppoe-setup. I tried that before, but spelled that with a space instead of a "-"
That obviously didn't work too well...

In 10.1 SLW as root type adsl-setup at cli then follow prompts. u will need service provider user name and pw. then adsl-start should connect if u have nic ( driver setup and recognized) and dsl modem. lspci can list nic installed. Good luck.
