adsl at boot up problem

Hello everyone. I have just recently installed Mandrake LInux 9.2. I set up my internet connection through adsl. Npw the problem I am having is I want my internet connection to automatically start at boot up. I have looked at a lot of documentation but nothing I have tried has worked. In the adsl HOW-TO file it tells me to put the line

at the end of the file which I did but it is still not starting.

Any help would be much appreciated.
