NEWBIES ONLY: ADSL and DSL. Or any 'Live CD' for that matter.

IF YOU ARE A NEWBIE, you may easily forget to be 'root' when you edit the /etc/resolv.conf. The manuals or tips do sometimes not stress that properly.

The /etc/resolv.conf may look like this regarding DNS entries:


Make sure you find out what kind of network card you have. Because you may be prompted to install the right module.

If you bear these things in mind, the Internet is yours.
