Adobe flash player help!

Hi I am new to linux. Very new. I was just looking for something challenging and work my way up into something a little more... I don't know. I just think the whole thing is just great!

I am using Fedora 14 right now and i can't figure out how to put in adobe flash player into the plugin repositories of the browser.
Does anyone know how to get it working so I can view youtube videos and or any other media file? Maybe step by step from the start? I downloaded adobe flash player version 10.2.159.1 all ready. I don't know if I should uninstall it then reinstall... Well enough of my rambling I'll let the veteran users have the final say.

Thank!

Are you running a 32 bit system or a 64 bit system? What exactly did you install? Was it a .rpm file?

I'm running x86_64
I installed YUM. And I may have accidentally installed .rpm as well. Might I need to just remove both of them all together and start all over again?

No I have not backed up my files. I just got the computer a week ago so I don't have much on it. Should i do it anyway?

That site looked pretty helpful. I glanced over it. But I have to get back to work at the motorpool so I won't be able to put it into action until after I get out of work. I'll see where that gets me.

I don't know about fedora but in debian there is a key in /.usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree that I double-click to get working, then my sun-java works right.
Maybe you need to import keyring also.

Hey thanks John VV
Mjmwired helped out a lot.

sudo yum install nspluginwrapper.{i686,x86_64} alsa-plugins-pulseaudio.i686

I guess i didn't know how to install the missing dependencies for the plugin.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. it's really helpful to be apart of a supportive community such as this!
