Adobe Flash Install
Hello I am completely new to Linux and I know nothing about it at all. I am trying to install adobe flash player so youtube will play videos so I can get more instructional videos on linux but when I go to youtube and it says install missing plug ins, I click the link and it directs me to adobes page, but then nothing happens.
How can I install adobe flash? I have also went to https://help.ubuntu.com/10.10/intern...-browsing.html and got the ubuntus restricted package that included adobe and it says installed but I cannot seem to get it to work on firefox. Please help as I want to use linux but I am completely new. |
You can get some of the packages through synaptic or package manager under System Administration. I think flashplugin-nonfree &
sun-java-jre. |
try using the plugin flash aid for fire fox

you can download the .deb package from
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/com...or_Linux_(.deb) Just double click on the downloaded package. It will launch a package installer. Click on install package Enter you password when it prompts. That should get your videos working I think. |
New to Linux
I am wanting to use a chat program to add people so they can help me with questions as they arise instead of using threads. I am completely new so must of my questions will be simple and I plan on googling first but after that it would be nice to chat with someone. Will someone befriend me and help me use a chat program.
