Question Adduser -

Hi - I've added a new user "Test" I can log in as Test without any problem, but I can't seem to be able to do anything like ls, or df -k with this account, it just come back and display nothing. I am using /bin/bash for this "Test" account. I have no trouble with the "root" account.

Anyone has any ideas on what's going on?

Thanks,
xmdms - newbie

Anything in the users $PATH ??

Type $PATH to see if the user has anything in its path that is executable, example, commands like ls, cd and such.. ??

Update the users $PATH by editing their:

.bashrc
or
.bash_profile

In their home directories.

If not there, you can edit this in the global file to set the paths up in /etc/profile
