Adding UDF file system

I have the following file systems:

[caysho@petrata caysho]$ cat /proc/filesystems
nodev sysfs
nodev rootfs
nodev bdev
nodev proc
nodev sockfs
nodev futexfs
nodev tmpfs
nodev pipefs
nodev eventpollfs
nodev devpts
nodev ramfs
nodev devfs
nodev mqueue
nodev usbfs
nodev usbdevfs
nodev supermount
nodev binfmt_misc
nodev smbfs
Does adding UDF support require that I recompile the kernel with the additional file system selected ?
If there's another way, I'm interested

Try modprobe udf. If kmod is enable the module will load automatically when you try to mount a udf filesystem. You might also google pktcdvd if you want to write cd-rw. I never could get dvd-rw writing working
