Adding to init script
I have been working on my mouse problem for weeks with almost no progress. I have recently found what looks to be an answer to my problems, but I don't know exactly what to do. This is my first time using Linux at home. Here is the link to the solution:
----had to remove it because I don't have the points------- Will provide via IM if possible I just need to know how to do it. I don't understand exactly what needs to be done here. Thank you!! |
welcome
why not type out the suggestion
sometimes it helps you to understand the solution well that works for me |
Sorry about that... lol guess I wasn't paying attention...
The site says to do this: Add /usr/X11R6/bin/xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 8 9 4 5" to your init script in order to remap the buttons correctly. There is also a file that has instructions for what looks to be xorg.conf file but says: The mouse is configured in the file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (On Gentoo /etc/X11/XF86Config). Use your favourite editor or your distributions X-configuration frontend. I'm so confused and I have been trying to find a solution for so long.... Thanks you for your help!! |
why not paste the link to that website
|
I tried that.... The site will not let me because I do not have the "points" to post a link... They apparently do this to avoid spamming. I can send anyone the link via PM or IM. Thank you
