adding software to novell linux desktop?

I took the plunge and installed something other than debian or gentoo today. This time specifically for the office machine. I was surprised by how easy setup was.. sound, network, printing.. all work right out of the box.

NLD comes with Evolution for mail which is a little overkill for what I need. I decided to install Thunderbird instead. My problem is that the only source set up for installing new software is the CD. There's an option to add another source (FTP or HTTP) but I have no idea if I can use SuSE repositories or what the deal is. This is my first time without apt or portage so I'm a little lost.

Can somebody give me a hand?

Thanks..

I think you have to use the Novel reporitry as the HTTP / FTP source.
dont ask what the url is, i dont know, but it will be in the documentation.

your other option, is to compile from source. do you have a compiler installed ?

I looked through the documentation and the only thing there is an expired beta activation key. Looks like they only support the ZENworks server for NLD and you have to pay to get updates/new software.

I guess that should be expected...
