add google chrome browser
 
using RH9 downloaded google chrome web browser to my home
used. opened with 'install packages'. got the following.
packages not found:lsb>= 3.2 libasound.so2 libcairo.so.2 libcurl.so.4 libnss3.so(NSS_3.12.3) libpangocairo-1.0.so.0 libsqlite3.so.0 libXss.so.1 xsg-utls

are these available or is this its way of saying to advanced for rh9.

Red Hat 9 is outdated for years. You will have serious difficulties to get any new software running on that, and you have serious security issues with that system.
I strongly recommend to install a recent OS. If you want to stick with a Red Hat OS I would recommend Fedora, or, if you want a distro with longer release cycles, CentOS or Scientific Linux.

I second the above information, RH9 had been end of life since 2004.

Fedora would be a great choice.

And use SRWare Iron, a lot better then Chrome. Its the same thing, minus all the security crap from Google. You can use the same themes and plugins its just not as invasive.
