Add Battery % to Conky lua?

Hey, first post, ultra noob.

Recently put Ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop and saw the conky lua (with the orange rings) and had to install it. Figured that out with the how-to's out there, and even got the wlan0 thing figured out.

I am wondering if it is possible to change one of the rings (maybe the swap one since it never seems to be used) to battery remaining percentage?

WARNING
I am VERY noobish here and will require pretty basic explanations, step by step and the like

Is there anything I left out?

TIA,
TAR.

I'm in pretty much the same position as you so I'm afraid the best help I can give is to point you in a few directions you might not have discovered:

1) http://u-scripts.blogspot.co.uk -- I haven't looked closely at this so can't vouch for it
2) http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=17246 -- this is a top dollar conky trainer - I'm currently working my way thru' it trying to work out how to do something.

If you want to see someone wallowing in the mud go to:

http://antix.freeforums.org/post26691.html#p26691

I am duncan_mk.

You will find a couple of posts there from rokytnjl. He's active on a lot of sites (including this one) and is a bit of a hand with conky. Google:

rokytnji conky

you'll get a lot of hits.

Hope this is some use!
