add a noise to a video
 
hello,
i am making a practise about transmit video in ns2 using evalvid
I want to add a noise to a video ,I have searched a lot in Google ,but I did not find anything
does anyone can help me

noise as in ANALOG transition noise


reencode the video and add a "old time cinema" filter to add streeks
and a Gaussian noise for "static"

if you want to add noise to a digital video you need to re-encode it and DEGRADE the image

there are video filters out there to make it look like a old silent movie

or to make it "look" like old time ANALOG TV

or to just add Gaussian noise using a filter
