AdBlock plus does not work great in google chrome browser

I use both firefox and the google chrome browser for surfing the web.

AdBlock plus works great in firefox and it does an excellent job in blocking pop-ups. However, adblock plus doesn't block ads that well in the google chrome browser. In fact, sometimes it acts as if adblock plus isn't install. I double-checked if adblock plus is enabled and it is.

Can anyone explain why this is?

AdBlock plus is working now in GC. I uninstalled adblock + and install it again.
