Activating Drive D:

I have created a drive as home2 (my old C: is now home). when I type in file:/home2/ and try to do anything there i get access denied. I am on Mandrake 9.2. I have logged in as root. are there directions somewhere where I can do this? thanks.

Did you create the folder logged on as root, or someone else?

Where does /home2 reside? (like /dev/hdb2) or something?

What do you mean by "type in file:/home2/"?

Also, Welcome to

I created the partition in diskdrake, it asked me to log in as root before I got in there. In diskdrake I have hda, which has the mountpoint of / and I went and created hdb which I gave it a mountpoint of /home2. If I click on my home icon on my desktop I am brought into file:/home/nick. I backspace and put file:/home2/ if I try to make a folder or anything I get access denied. I have a shortcut to shell on my dsktop that I open and do the su thing but still get the error.
