Acrobat Reader 8.1.2 using whole of the CPU

Hi,

I recently installed RedhatEL4 in my work station, following is the version details:

Linux version 2.6.9-67.EL (brewbuilder@hs20-bc1-5.build.redhat.com) (gcc version 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-8)) #1 Wed Nov 7 13:43:31 EST 2007

Then i installed Acrobat reader 8.1.2. Now if i use it (acrobat reader) for more than 2-3 mins, it start using almost (95%) whole of my CPU. This was happening some time back with Redhat EL 3 and Acrobat reader 7 also.
What can be the reason for this and how i can avoid it.

Many thanks in advance.
Manish.

have you tried another reader?

Hi. Well, I don't know what the problem is. But maybe using the nice command could do something? You might better trying using another reader (which I think should work a lot FASTER at least), how about trying xpdf?
