Acer aspire zg5 internet browser problems
 

Hi I need your help folks I am a complete novice and seem to have broke my wifes netbook , I powered up the acer aspire one zg5 and it goes to the first screen but does not connect to the internet when I press the internet button the wifi connection is fine and will download updates fine but will not connect to the browser , am so out of my depth as not familiar with this system , if I dont fix this will have to blame one of the kids .
Any ideas ? please help .

Assuming you are using firefox (if not more info would be useful :-)

try firefox menu

File > Work offline

If that's ticked, just untick it

If that's not the problem:

Your comment about being able to download updates was very useful - do you have any other diagnostic information as good as that?
