You've just gotten two of the classic responses:
From the salesperson: "It works on all computers"
Translation: Well, all computers run Windows, don't they??
From the helpdesk: "It does not support Linux"
Translation: "That's what my script says--I have no clue what Linux is---I don't even know what an operating system is."
When the Acer Aspire One appeared at Circuit City, I had an illuminating dialog with a salesperson. She claimed that "most printers do not work with Linux." I politely explained that in fact most printers DO work with Linux.
I for one would really like to see the outcome of this--I want the get this mobile service.
Can we somehow find out what is the chipset?
