Account Max Login count question
 
Hello,

I am new to the forums and especially new to Linux. I apologize if I may have posted in the wrong thread. My question is the following:

There are some accounts that are created with Max Login Count to value -1. This is to disallow users to log into the Linux system but it allows them to access the Linux server by FTP. Is this standard practice? Can it be achieved another way through the accounts?

I couldn't find a delete button, so I'll quote myself.

Looks like this issue is resolved and is normal here. It's only on RedHat 4 and 5 that have this feature.
