Accidentally put init 6 in inittab file
Hello,
I am new in Linux and I was configuring the video driver. Accidentally put the option 6 (init 6) int the /etc/inittab file. So the system reboot each time. How can I access again to that file and modify it? Thanks Sugoicarl |
easiest would be to edit the file by booting up a live cd.
however there may be options depending on how you have your bootloader configged. what bootloader are you using pls? |
Why use a rescue disk.. at your grub or lilo prompt, specify the init level you want to boot into, say for instance.. single user mode, edit your inittab and reboot, simple as that!
