accidentally delete /opt folder
 
Hi everyone,,:)

I did a silly mistake that i delete /opt folder directory,,,
because of this is affecting desktop environment(KDE 4.1) causing of too many blank icon that i cant run the application like network manager etc


can anyone help to solve this problem or maybe can i reinstall kde desktop environment because now is very hard to launch particular application

Which distro are you using? Is it rpm or debian based? If it is rpm based, you could use "rpm -qaV" to identify which files are missing and "rpm -qf <full path to file>" to identify which package supplies the file. Since you deleted the entire /opt directory, and if kde 4.1 is based on this directory, reinstalling kde might be the best option.

Im using Opensuse 11.1 distro
and how to reinstalling kde?
