accidentally delete /opt folder
Hi everyone,,:)
I did a silly mistake that i delete /opt folder directory,,, because of this is affecting desktop environment(KDE 4.1) causing of too many blank icon that i cant run the application like network manager etc can anyone help to solve this problem or maybe can i reinstall kde desktop environment because now is very hard to launch particular application |
Which distro are you using? Is it rpm or debian based? If it is rpm based, you could use "rpm -qaV" to identify which files are missing and "rpm -qf <full path to file>" to identify which package supplies the file. Since you deleted the entire /opt directory, and if kde 4.1 is based on this directory, reinstalling kde might be the best option.
