accessing windows shared files from suse 10
 

hi,

i am only able to access windows shared files(which is in the main pc), when i turn off the firewall. what should i do to access it without turning off the firewall?

Is this the Windows firewall or the Linux one blocking things? Obviously you need to allow the computer access through it in any case. Get the hostname or ip number of the other computer and add it to your firewall rules.

it is the suse firewall that blocks it when i turn it off it can access windows. I don't quite know how to do it as i am newbie to unix systems :(
